About me

I'm a Melbourne-based Accredited Practising Dietitian with over 20 years' experience working across private practice, the corporate sector and academia. I have an interest in women's health, eating disorders and challenging issues around food and eating, body image concerns, chronic pelvic pain and gut-related disorders.​​​

My approach 

My approach blends the art and science of evidence-based medical nutrition counselling and therapy, as well as values-based health coaching.  I strive to practise in a way that is compassionate, client-centred, trauma-informed, and grounded in Health at Every Size® principles. This means that I support clients to engage in health-enhancing behaviours rather than focusing on the number on the scale (except when weight monitoring is required for medical safety).

 

I work with women to uncover nourishing approaches that improve their individual symptoms and support their wellbeing with compassion, kindness, and alignment to their personal values. I value every client’s wisdom, lived experience, and autonomy​​

I am committed to (and bound to) ongoing professional development and supervision. I strive to keep my practice current with the latest research and evidence in nutrition and dietetics. I’m always learning - and often humbled - by opportunities to grow both as a person and as a clinician.

My philosophy 

Nourishment goes well beyond food. It also includes emotional and spiritual nourishment, the way we care for ourselves, connect with others, move our bodies, rest, and find meaning in our lives. 

​

My goal through She, Nourished is to help women feel empowered and wholly nourished at every stage of their lives - so they can enjoy better wellbeing and continue making a positive impact in their world.

My favourite things​​

Outside of work, I’m a wife and a mum to four big kids. I love dancing, meditation, outdoor adventures with my tribe, and slow moments with friends. Leave me alone with paper, pens and paints, and you’ll find me painting or journalling (I.love.journalling!). I’m also a cat mum, a chocolate lover (of the Whittaker variety), and an appreciator of purple sunsets.
